Our mission
Built from inside the profession
Reserve Sense is modern, specialized software built for Reserve Fund Study and Depreciation Report professionals. It brings together reserve fund education, national industry leadership, field experience, and advanced SaaS engineering in one platform.
The goal is not just to make reports faster and easier to build. Reserve Sense is designed to elevate professional standards: better templates, more reliable calculations, clearer workflows, and a stronger way to explain long-term reserve fund planning to clients.
Two of our co-founders and directors—Terry Dowle and Michael LaPorte—bring decades of reserve fund study, appraisal, and national industry leadership to Reserve Sense. Through Clarity Reserve Solutions, they lead one of Canada’s largest teams of Reserve Fund Study and Depreciation Report writers, giving the platform a grounded understanding of how reports are produced, reviewed, taught, and improved in practice.
From day one, they believed in Reserve Sense’s mission and wanted to bring what they had learned to the wider industry. They invested in the business, built their reporting practice on the platform, and put it to work for the studies and depreciation reports their team produces every day. Growing the platform is how they share decades of practical knowledge with professionals across the country—and help raise standards for everyone in the field.
